A good contingent from Angus were in the Beach Ballroom, Aberdeen last week to enjoy the H&H conference. Great speakers and the exhibition was stunning.
Huge congratulations to Lynne Webster (Letham & District SWI) who won the Warnock Trophy for the second year running with a poster entitled ‘A Vision of the SWI in 2019’ and Jean Donaldson (Tealing SWI) who won the Lena Meiklejohn Trophy for the 11th time with an embroidered cushion! Mairi Alexander (Tannadice & Oathlaw SWI), Margaret McIldowie (Westmuir SWI) and Sheila Bruce (Airlie SWI) also had submissions which were Highly Commended or Commended in their classes.
Kingsmuir SWI took part in the Tuesday evening entertainment with their 15 minute entertainment which was very much enjoyed by all.
Well done to everyone who took part and thank you Scottish Women’s Institutes for a great conference.
