Last Monday eleven Angus members left Forfar in the early morning to travel by minibus to Coatbridge Bowling Centre to compete in the National Indoor Bowls competition – two teams of three bowlers and five supporters. Our bowlers were from Mattocks/Wellbank and Aldbar Institutes. All our members played really well and Aldbar were undefeated at the end of the round robin stages. They played Striring, Clackmannan and West Perth in the semi final. Three all going in to the final end and the excitement was rising. Just pipped at the post in the final end and SCWP went on to win the tournament. A good day for everyone if a long one!
