Held in alternate years, this competition is for a team of four. Each team will choose its own selection, and make up its own programme, of prose and poetry readings based on the given theme (six to nine separate pieces within the total time limits of 12 and 15 minutes). All pieces may be read – they need not be committed to memory (no extra marks will be given for this) but must be read fluently and there should be no emphasis on acting or miming. No ‘props’, background music or effects are required. The voices do all the work!
