Held annually at the Strathmore Hall, Forfar, this is a fun evening of quizzing while raising money to cover storage costs for the Federation. Teams are made up of four quizzers and each Institute can enter two teams. However if your Institute doesn’t have enough quizzers to make up a team individuals are welcome to apply and composite teams can be arranged. Bring along a raffle prize and your supper – a bar is available and tea/coffee will be served in the interval.
“Great fun was had in the Strathmore Hall, Forfar on Monday, 5th November 2018 at our quiz night. It was a pleasure to welcome back Ian Whyte as quizmaster and 45 teams. It was a very close run affair with Tarfside coming out winners by half a point and after a tie break Airlie were second with Fowlis and Liff third. A fantastic total of £815.80 was raised which more than covers our storage costs.”
The National Final is held on alternate years (the same year as the Matter of Opinion competition). The next North East Area’s National Final will take place in Fochabers on 26th October 2019 , hosted by Moray & Nairn Federation. Angus will be represented by Tarfside Institute.
