Curling

Next event: November 2020 TBC

The Federation round is held at Forfar Indoor Sports, usually in November, and is run as a Schenkl. Depending on the number of entries, the format of the competition is adjusted accordingly. Entries are encouraged from teams of four or individuals as we often make up composite teams. The winners will represent Angus federation at the National Finals. If we have four or more teams entering at Federation level we can apply for a second team to represent Angus which is allocated by ballot.

“On Saturday 10th November 2018 Angus Federation Round was a fabulous afternoon of curling played in a great spirit. Auchterhouse were winners of the High Road, Cortachy the By Pass and Tarfside the Low Road. Congratulations to you all! Huge thanks to Susan for her impeccable organisation, the spectators for their support and all the competitors.”

The National Finals were held in Curl Aberdeen on Tuesday 19th March 2019, hosted by Aberdeenshire Federation. Auchterhouse and Stracathro Institutes represented Angus.

Angus 1 (Auchterhouse) won the High Road and Angus 2 (Stracathro) were runners up in the Low Road. Huge congratulations on your success!
